The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) wanted to create a colourful and inviting animation to inform and promote careers for young women in the construction industry. Because the construction industry is still predominantly a male dominated industry, the purpose of this animation was to let women know that there are many jobs which involve a variety of different skills and applications that may appeal to women.
The idea of this style of animation was to keep the scenes simple yet dynamic as characters and their background environments build on and off screen. I liked the idea of the animation ‘building up and down’ as landscapes change and evolve just like in real life. I didn’t want to over complicate the scenes but have the right touch of movement to keep scenes dynamic.
