EVIL, SYFY

EVIL is a series that aired on NBC Universal about a skeptical female clinical psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possession, and other extraordinary occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.

I worked on the look and style for the graphics such as the in caption promos and endboards. While the series came with certain branded elements, we needed to create our own look that worked with the show yet was unique to the channel.

The design is predominantly in black and white and with a hint of horror. The idea behind the design is one of a transition or passing through from light to dark, good to evil. It also plays on the idea of being possessed and the inbetween states that might exist between black and white and the blurred lines between both.
