Sports England approached me to create an animation for their Community Asset Fund project. They needed an animated video that appealed to a wide range of audiences in the community to encourage different groups to apply for funding to create new facilities or improve on existing spaces to help people become more active.
The idea behind the animation was to travel through different scenes with characters being active and engaged in various things. It also needed to bring a sense of community into the animation. So there are lots of character actions throughout the scenes. But there is also quite a lot of information that is conveyed in the application process. The ‘how to apply’ had to communicate detailed information in a way that was easy for each viewer to process and understand.
